Shocked BBC viewers say Newsnight ‘quality has gone through the floor’ as Lily Phillips talks watching porn as a child

BBC viewers were left shocked after Lily Phillips revealed she first watched porn aged 11.

The star recently appeared on , where she was interviewed by about her experience in the industry.

The 23-year-old discussed everything from her first time viewing adult content to her controversial 101-men sex stunt.

“Honestly I probably watched pornography first when I was maybe 11,” the native said.

“I've always known about it, I always knew it was a thing. I always thought it was very normal to watch.

“I personally don't think pornography is a bad thing in moderation.”

She added that she thinks over access to the content for young people is when it “becomes a problem”.

also revealed that watching adult content from such a young age made her feel “sex confident”, insisting it had a “positive effect”.

“I don't know life without pornography,” she explained, adding that it is the main way she learned about sex.

She maintained that her own content provides the same service for others.

Lily said she makes “so many different kinds of porn” and said it's not all damaging, with some even considered to be so “normal and relatable” that it feels like the camera “isn't there”.

Despite her take, many BBC viewers were less than impressed with the adult film star's interview.

“Newsnight quality through the floor now. Gone is in depth journalism, in is an interview with Lily Phillips, dire,” wrote one X user.

“What happened to covering international affairs fully, such as the le Pen verdict last week, protests against Erdogan & in Serbia & the Canadian election?”

“Really with all the things happening in the world this is their first story? Jesus the UK media is f**ked.”

“Lily Phillips is on BBC [Newsnight] as we speak I will NEVER watch [it] again,” wrote one unimpressed viewer.

“BBC Newsnight interview with Lilly Phillips. Wtf. What a waste of time interviewing such an idiot sad ‘celebrity' seeker. Why waste our time with this crap?” asked another person.

“Sorry, why is Newsnight spending so much airtime on Lily Phillips?” agreed one X user.

“Sorry to sound like a prude but this is upsetting and not normal,” said another viewer.
