BBC VIEWERS noticed a huge gaffe as they watched the World Snooker Championship draw this morning.

The Crucible showpiece is set to this Saturday.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the draw, with the 32 participants all learning their route to glory.

The BBC‘s initial graphic shown on screen showed a completely incorrect draw.

In the botched graphic, defending champion was claimed to be facing in round one.

Of course the match-up would be impossible at such an early stage of the competition, with both men seeded for the event.

The same issue came up with the second proposed match-up between ninth seed Neil Robertson and tenth seed Ding Junhui.

Si Jiahui's made-up battle with Xiao Guudong would also not be possible, with the men 13th and 14th seeds.

The BBC eventually corrected their graphic.

But not before eagle-eyed viewers noticed the bizarre mix-up.

One wrote on X: “This was the first graphic @BBCSport put up for the draw. This would have been interesting.”

While a second joked: “They’ve shown us the draw for the 2030 one.”

In reality, defending champion Wilson will open his title defence against China Lei's Peifan.

O'Sullivan, meanwhile, will face a “Snotgate” rematch with bitter foe Ali Carter.

Following , Carter accused O'Sullivan of “snotting all over the floor”.

The Rocket at the time: “F***ing why has he got issues with me? I’m not having it. I don’t care, grow some balls.

“I don’t give a f***. The more he brings it on, the more I f***ing punish him every time.

“Absolutely. He’s just digging a grave for himself. He needs to sort his f***ing life out.”

Last year's runner-up Jak Jones will face qualifier Zhao Xintong, who has completed a 20-month match fixing ban.

World No1 , meanwhile, is set to take on China’s Zhou Yuelong in round one.
