ROAD testers have revealed the best British used cars to buy.

But the testers warned to look out for a trickle charger, broken suspension springs, leaky dampers and coolant hoses.

They also told potential buyers to be wary of wayward panel gaps and bubbling on panel edges.

A more affordable buy is the S-Type R, made between 2022 and 2007.
