My six-month-old weighs 35lbs – she was 12lbs at birth, trolls say l’m a bad mum but they shouldn’t be body-shaming kids

A MUM has hit back at brutal trolls who body-shame her 35lbs six-month-old daughter.

The mother, only known as @ginnasweetlips on TikTok, claimed that her daughter Gianna joined the family weighing 12lbs at birth.

Since then, she's gained another 23lbs and now weighs around 35lbs at just six months.

The mother – who's also had her little one tested for some conditions – explained that everyone in the family has given birth to ”big babies”, and Gianna was no exception.

”Lots of doctors have seen her – it's not just one doctor,” the mum recently hit back at the trolls who assumed she was feeding the adorable tot ”takeaway food”.

”Who eats McDonald's in the first place? I don't think McDonald's is really healthy for you.

”We don't eat McDonald's – and we will never eat at McDonald's,” said the brunette beauty who moved to Down Under a little over a year ago.

”Do you know how much money it costs to buy takeaways in the first place, for a family every night?

”It gets expensive – we don't have that in our budget.”

Although some social media users insisted the mum – originally from South Africa – should be worried for her girl, the mother said the family weren't ”concerned”.

”No one's said anything. Please, she's healthy,” she emphasised in the video.

”I don't understand everyone asking me, like, whether she has a disorder or a medical condition – she's healthy.”

Showing adorable clips of the young child – which she described as ”our big girl” – the mother added Gianna is breastfed and they started baby-led weaning at six months.

The tot, who is the mum's second child, wore clothing for six-month-olds at birth – and now her wardrobe is full of items for five-year-old kids.

‘This isn't normal or healthy'

Since showing off Gianna online, not only has the mum gone viral – with a video racking up over 23million views – but also come under fire.

While many TikTok users were nice and jokingly dubbed Gianna ”a real life Cabbage Patch” doll, others were severely concerned with her health.

One person said: ”u see all the excess skin folds… that's excess fat!! this isn't normal or healthy!”

”omg. please take care of her health. pray for her,” another chimed in.

”I just seen a video where a guy said fat babies/children is bad parenting. Because you’re encouraging bad unhealthy habits that’ll cost them dearly their whole lives..” someone else commented.

Luckily, there's also been heaps of support, with one kind TikToker urging the keyboard warriors to take a hard look at themselves.

”Anyone who feels the need to body-shame a BABY should be very ashamed of themselves.”

”So interesting to see the sexism in these comments. I see videos of big boy babies all the time, and they are overwhelmingly positive. The minute a big girl baby shows up, everyone is ‘concerned',” someone shared their observations.

”Don’t listen to people. Ur baby is clean, healthy and happy,” a viewer told the mum.
