Horror as boy, 15, is hit and killed by car outside McDonald’s – as man, 35, is arrested for ‘drug driving’

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been killed in a horror collision outside McDonalds as a man is arrested.

The teen was struck at around 10.45pmon Bradford Road in Eccleshill, Bradford, on Friday.

He was rushed to hospital with “very serious injuries” but he tragically died at 12am today.

Cops are urging anyone who may have seen the car or teen before the collision to get in contact.

The driver of the the black VW Golf was a 35-year old man, who has been arrested on suspicion of offences including death by dangerous driving and a suspected drug driving offence.

He remains in police custody.

Detective Inspector Paul Conroy of the Major Collision and Enquiry Team, said: “A number of enquiries remain ongoing into this very serious incident which has resulted in a 15-year-old male tragically losing his life.

“We are working to support his parents and are appealing for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the black VW Golf or teenager just prior to the collision taking place.

“We would also like to speak with anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist enquiries.
