B&Q is a go-to spot for all your home improvement bits and bobs, which is why it’s such a firm favourite with shoppers across the UK.
However, the retailer will be operating under different hours for Easter 2025. Here's everything you need to know.

Easter 2025 opening hours
This year, Easter falls on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
That means Good Friday will be observed on April 18, while Easter Monday will take place on April 21, creating a four-day weekend in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Government rules mean that shops in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland that are over 280 square metres have to close on Easter Sunday by law.
Although this rule doesn’t apply in Scotland, some retailers still decide to shut up shop for the day.
B&Q will operate normal hours on Good Friday and bank holiday Monday, with nearly all branches opening from 7am to 8pm.
However, the DIY superstores will be closed for the entirety of the day on Easter Sunday.
For example, customers can visit their local branch between the hours of 7am and 8pm on April 18 and April 21, but not on Sunday.
Opening hours vary from store to store, so it is advisable to check whether your local B&Q will be changing its business hours.
You can do this by asking in store or checking the B&Q store locator tool on their website.
Alternatively, you can email or phone their helpline.
From April 21, 2025, B&Q will be open as normal.
In Scotland, all B&Q stores will remain open as usual over all four days.
This year, Brits will be also marking 80 years since the end of World War Two with four days of celebrations.
Kicking off over the early May Bank Holiday on Monday, May 5, the VE Day tributes will include a grand military parade, an impressive flypast, and a star-studded concert to honour the occasion.
Online shopping
Shoppers in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland can still purchase from B&Q on Easter Sunday.
But lovers of the DIY shop will need to use the company's website to bag themselves a deal.
The high street during Easter 2025
Plenty of shops and businesses stay open on Good Friday and Easter Monday, even though they’re bank holidays.
That said, it’s a good idea to plan ahead, as many places run on shorter hours.
Some smaller businesses might take the whole bank holiday weekend off, so it’s always worth checking in advance to avoid any surprises.
