A BRITISH man has reportedly been burned to death by a wild mob after he was arrested in Ecuador.
Local media reported that a group of people horrifically lynched the Brit man after storming the police station where he was being held.


They say the Brit was taken into custody by the locals after being suspected of shooting another person dead.
And just after a few hours of being detained at the police station, the locals reportedly set the man on fire in front of cops.
Major Ecuadorian newspaper Ecuavisa said the horrific killing happened in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve in Ecuador’s Amazon region – a popular tourist spot.
Another media outlet Extrareported that cops decided not to intervene when the mob forced their way into the police station before allegedly burning the Brit man to death.
A local TV station reported: “In the early hours of Sunday, April 20, in the parish of Playas de Cuyabeno, at the closure of an event that took place for the anniversary of the Kichwa community, an incident occurred where, as a result, two people died.
“Those two people were a community member from the area and another person of British nationality who died due to the severity of his burns.”;
The Ecuadorian man killed has been named locally as Rodrigo Chavez.
It was not immediately clear if anyone had been arrested after the death of the Brit man.
