Champions League: Ancelotti releases Real Madrid starting XI to face Arsenal

Published on April 08, 2025 at 06:25 PM

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has named his starting XI to face Arsenal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash on Tuesday night.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is fit again and starts between the sticks for the current holders.

In defence in front of him will be the quartet of Federico Valverde, Raul Asencio, Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba.

Captain Luka Modric makes up a three-man midfield that includes Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga.

Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo will lead the attack for the Madrid at the Emirates.

Ancelotti will be hoping that Camavinga, Rudiger, Vinicius and Modric escape any booking against Arsenal, as they go into the game walking a disciplinary tightrope.

Real Madrid XI vs. Arsenal: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Rüdiger, Alaba; Modric, Camavinga, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vini Jr.
