Champions League: Referee for Real Madrid vs Arsenal second leg confirmed

Published on April 14, 2025 at 12:36 PM

UEFA have appointed François Letexier as the referee for the Champions League quarter-final second beg between Real Madrid and Arsenal on Wednesday.

Letexier will take charge of the high-stake encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid, who are the current holders, are looking to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg last week.

Letexier previously refereed the Euro 2020 final in Germany between Spain and England.

This is the fifth time the 35-year-old will be refereeing a Real Madrid fixture.

Letexier was in charge of the group stage clash where the Madrid team lost 2-0 to Liverpool this season.

Last season, Letexier also refereed the first leg of the quarterfinals at the Santiago Bernabéu against Manchester City, which ended in a 3-3 draw, and the group stage clash against Napoli, where Real Madrid won 4-2.
