SHE'S been saving for a bathroom renovation.
So when it comes to a temporary decorating solution, Kat is all about finding a cheap but effective option.

She originally took to TikTok to share how she used tiles to create a herringbone effect on the back wall – all for £40.
And while the is effective, people took to the comments section to question whether or not they were going to last.
“How do they work with steam in the bathroom or when wet? Stay on ok?” one asked.
With Kat replying: “So far so good!
“They’re meant to be water & heat resistant!
“We’re 6 showers & 2 baths in – so far so good.”
She then returned to TikTok for a video update, as she said: “4 months ago I used cheap stick on tiles to DIY my shower.
“So how does it look now?”
Kat then walked into her bathroom, as she said the tiles look “EXACTLY THE SAME!”
“Good as new! No lifting!” she added.
“I used these herringbone water resistant thick sticky tiles to create a herringbone effect splashback in my shower/bath area,” Kat wrote in the video caption.
“As a temporary DIY to tide us over until we undergo a proper bathroom renovation, I was chuffed with it! But has it held up?
“YES!! I am actually so impressed!”
Kat added that the tiles would be “so good for a kitchen splashback too”, calling them “really versatile and affordable”.
However, there's one part of the job she didn't like – matching the tiles up and siliconing them afterwards.
“Amazing idea for a budget glow up!” one person wrote in the comments.
“Do you use the shower regularly?” another asked.
“How do the tiles hold up against the water? Thinking about doing this for our shower!”
“Everyday it’s our only bathroom in the house,” Kat replied.
She also added that as the only shower in the house “it’s used twice a day at least”.
The tiles are currently £25.99 on Temu for a pack of five, but Kat managed to get them for
They are 12 inches by 12 inches, and come in three colours – the white marble that Kat chose, gray marble or white and grey grout.
