CONOR McGREGOR has been urged to fight Jorge Masvidal in a pay-per-view blockbuster for his UFC return.

McGregor is yet to return since breaking his leg in the first round of his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

Conor McGregor has been urged to fight Jorge Masvidal nextJorge Masvidal is coming off three lossesBut when he does, the Irishman will do so on a two-fight losing streak, winning just once in his last four.

Similarly, Masvidal is also coming off three consecutive defeats, twice to Kamaru Usman, 35, and most recently against rival Colby Covington, 34.

It leaves ex-UFC champion believing the American, 37, and McGregor, 34, are perfect for each other in their respected comeback bouts.

Cejudo, 35, said on his YouTube channel: “This is a good fight for Conor McGregor. Why? It’s because there’s really no grappling involved.

“You want guys that can strike and that want to strike and don’t want to grapple.

“And plus, Jorge Masvidal he hasn’t won a fight – I think he’s on a three- or four-fight losing streak? Something like that?

“But I think Jorge Masvidal would be the best return for him, 170 pounds.

“They both have the mouthpiece. Just imagine how many pay-per-views they could sell.”

McGregor has been ruled out of fighting until next year, having undertaken his first Hollywood role.

He is starring in a reboot of Patrick Swayze’s 1989 classic Roadhouse, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.

But it has paved the way for McGregor to make a massive return to the cage next year.

He said on Instagram Live: “I’m going to be back soon, hopefully. Early 2023 I’m aiming for. Sometime in that first quarter.”;
