Published on April 27, 2025 at 08:18 AM

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he was hurt following his side's Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona on Saturday night.

Ancelotti watched as Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-2 to win this year's Copa del Rey.

Goals from Pedri, Ferran Torres Aurélien Tchouaméni and Kylian Mbappe ensured the game ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.

However, in the extra-time, Jules Kounde scored to give Hansi Flick's side the victory against the Los Blancos.

Speaking after the game, Ancelotti said he was hurt because his team came close to winning the Copa Del Rey.

Ancelotti said, “We dominated the second half… and we did everything we could. I can’t criticize the team, we did our best.

“I’m hurt, it was so close. We were so close to winning.

“Now we will focus on winning La Liga,” he added.

Real Madrid will now shift their attention to the LaLiga as they currently sit in second position with four points behind leaders Barcelona.
