COWGIRL core, as popularised by Beyonce last year, is here to stay.
The latest iteration of the western trend on the catwalks is something we can all get on board with â suede.

It’s classy, wearable and we love it, but real often comes with a hefty price tag.
Thankfully, the high street is filled with faux options for half the cost.
Here, Deputy Editor Abby McHale reveals some of her favourite items and the you could save.
But can you pick out the suede items from the very similar styles? Answers below.
JACKET

PRICE DIFFERENCE:£190
A SUEDE jacket is a great addition to your wardrobe. Both of these jackets have fringing detail â adding a western element and making them stand out from plainer styles on the market.
But one is £250, from Monsoon, and the other is £59.99 at â can you tell which is the real deal?
As I’ve mentioned, suedette fabric is softer â and one is slightly more cropped in length.
Other than that, they’re a close match.
DRESS

PRICE DIFFERENCE: £85
WHAT’S great about the high street now is that many shops cater to all budgets, and River Island has done that by offering both real and faux-suede versions of this style.
The suede costs £120 while the suedette is just £35.
The only real difference you can notice is the slight change in fit, with the faux- suede dress being more bodycon. Suedette is a thinner material and harder to mould, hence it clinging.
Both are great options and can be worn with chunky sandals or knee-high boots for a more look.
SKIRT

PRICE DIFFERENCE: £249
THESE two skirts differ hugely in price, with Primark’s faux-suede version coming in at only £10 â bargain.
Never Fully Dressed’s real suede skirt does feel considerably more luxe than the suedette version, but the hit on your bank account is eye-watering.
Style-wise, the the cheaper version is more fitted. The material of the suede skirt also feels more robust. It would stand the test of time.
BAG

PRICE DIFFERENCE: £100
BOTH these shopper totes are perfect for carrying everyday essentials. And in this case, both are suede.
There isn’t much difference in the look and feel, but it’s likely the more expensive version, which is from M&S, is made from a better grade than the cheaper one.
BOOTS

PRICE DIFFERENCE:£136
THE suede pair look thicker and more durable and are a slightly different shade to the suedette pair.
But while they look the part, you may need to brush them regularly to avoid any long-lasting damage. The cheaper ones are a softer fabric.
