CRISTIANO RONALDO arrived at Carrington to train alone this morning with his Manchester United career all but over.

The Portuguese forward, 37, could have played his last game for the club after refusing to come on as a late substitute against Tottenham.

Cristiano Ronaldo drove himself into Carrington on FridayHe will train alone after being banished from the squadHe then stormed down the tunnel and left Old Trafford before the full-time whistle of Wednesday’s win.

As revealed by SunSport, he has NO more allies at United and is wanted out by most – including the manager.

Now Erik ten Hag is forcing him to work on the pitches on his own after axing him from the squad to face Chelsea tomorrow.

Ronaldo rolled in at 8.40am this morning driving on his own and was followed by his security guards.

He faces another day away from his team-mates but may be allowed to link up with them again after the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Ronaldo will also be fined £720,000 – two weeks’ wages – for defying the manager.

Ten Hag now wants either the player’s contract, that runs to the end of the season, ripped up or for the Portuguese to be dumped in the January transfer window.

Ronaldo had already angered some United team-mates by trying to force a summer exit before no suitors came forward.

The Portugal captain issued a statement last night but did not apologise for his strop.

He wrote: “As I’ve always done in my career, I try to live and play respectfully towards my colleagues, my adversaries and my coaches.

“That hasn’t changed. I’m the same person that I’ve been for the last 20 years playing elite football and respect has always played a very important role in my decision-making process.

“I started very young and the older and most experienced players’ examples were always very important to me.

“Therefore, later on, I’ve always tried to set the example myself for the youngsters in the teams I’ve represented.

“Unfortunately that’s not always possible and sometimes the heat of the moment gets the best of us.

“Right now, I have to keep working hard in Carrington, support my team-mates and be ready for everything in any game.

“Giving in to the pressure is not an option. It never was.

“This is Manchester United and united we must stand. Soon we’ll be together again.”;
