Dad’s cause of death revealed after he was ‘murdered’ by teen son in rampage that also left woman & boy, 11, injured

A DAD allegedly murdered by his son in a rampage that left a woman and 11-year-old boy injured died from head injuries, an inquest heard.

Emad Botros-Farag, 57, died at a home in last Tuesdayas a child screamed: “No, No! Stop. Help! Help!”

His son Fabio Botros, 19, has been and two counts of attempted murder.

An inquest heard Emad was found at the house in suffering from a head injury.

Victoria Foreman, coroner’s officer, said the dad-of-three had been born in and worked as a delivery driver.

The full inquest was adjourned until a later date pending the criminal proceedings.

Botros appeared in on April 4 where he spoke only to confirm his name.

A was set for October 1, with Botros remanded into custody ahead of another hearing on June 20.

It comes after horrified neighbours told how they heard “loud screaming and shouting” coming from the three-bedroom home.

Emad was found with significant head injuries and was declared dead shortly after.

A woman, 57, and an 11-year-old boy were rushed to hospital after also being injured in the bloodbath but have since been discharged.

Botros, who is known to the family, was arrested at the property and later charged.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cullimore said: “This was a shocking and tragic incident, and our thoughts are with those affected and their loved ones.

“Through our initial enquiries, it has been established that the victims and defendant are known to one another, and that the weapons involved are believed to be two knives and a hammer.

“We recognise the impact this incident has also had on the local community, and we want to reassure members of the public that charges have now been secured and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.

“Our officers remain in the area conducting enquiries, and we are grateful for the support and patience of the public.”
