But Michelle was left mortified when a passenger behind her put his bare foot through the small gap near next to her seat.

The person's foot was seen poking through the right side of her seat and bracing near the window and arm rest.

Understandably upset, Michelle shared the photo on her social media and raged: “I PROMISE YOU BETTA GETCHO FOOT FROM ME!!!!

“Y’all this is happening neowwwwwwww on my flight and I am crying real tears!!”

She told fans: “For those asking........ YES I am sitting in the first class cabin......a lot of AUDACITY resides in that booking class....... OBVIOUSLY!!#seat3Fthe f is for feet.”

Michelle replied to another fan and admitted she solved the issue by elbowing his foot out the way and said “now I gotta take my coat to the cleaners.”

Once Michelle got home, she shared a video explaining the incident.

She kicked off the clip by singing Rich Tolbert's hit Defeated but playfully spelt it “defeeted” in reference to the matter.

She began to sing, “I made it out, I made it out alright”.

Michelle told her followers: “I was almost defeated with someone's feet, do you hear me Niecy Nash, do you hear me?'

“I didn't know, it tried to take me out. I said wait a minute you ever think you see something out of your peripheral vision.

“I looked down… I'm itching.

“I don't matter to me what class you fly, I still like Southwest, I was in first class… My seat was 3F – I didn't know the F was going to be for feet.”

Michelle then went on to say: “I flew home to Chicago, Illinois, I had to be in my hometown of Rockford, Illinois over the weekend for a death in my family.

“And so I flew back to New York for a matinee tomorrow and I almost didn't make it because of a foot.”

Michelle explained that the person who passed away has highly influential in her life.

She said: “He mentored my brother and if he hadn't mentored my brother, I don't think, I would have fallen in love with music the way I have and he's married to my cousin.”

But Michelle was struggling to get the image out of her mind and reiterated: “Yes, I was in seat 3F, yes I was in seat 3F. I didn't know the F was for feet.

“But I'm glad to be home and I just wanted you all to know ‘I made it out, I made it out all right'.”

She added she was in floods of tears during the flight and many fans agreed saying they'd be horrified.

One wrote: “I would have wasted a little Ice water on it. Like what is happening in first class. Sir you already have extra leg room.”

A second posted: “Michelle you betta tell them what up.”

A third commented: “I feel your pain! I don't do feet not even my husband's. Phobia.”

Michelle is best know for being part of R&B girl group Destiny's Child, alongside Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland.
