Disgraceful – UK Foreign Secretary, Lammy slams Badenoch for defending Israel over Labour MPs

Published on April 06, 2025 at 01:53 PM

David Lammy, United Kingdom Foreign Secretary, has criticised Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch’s “disgraceful”; comments after she defended Israel for deporting two British Labour MPs.

Recall that the Israeli government had denied two British Labour, MPs – Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed – from entering into the country on Saturday.

Reacting, Badenoch told Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips that and that “every country should be able to control its borders.

According to her, that is what Israel is doing as far as she “understand.”

However, Lammy was not pleased with Badenoch's comments, accusing her of ‘cheerleading' Israel.

He wrote on X on Sunday: “It's disgraceful you [Kemi Badenoch] are cheerleading another country for detaining and deporting two British MPs.

“Do you say the same about Tory MPs banned from China?.”
