The Nigerian Army has debunked rumours circulating on social media of Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) or Short Service Commission (SSC) recruitment into the Nigerian Army.
Lieutenant Colonel Appolonia Anele, Acting Director Directorate of Army Public Relations, in a statement Friday night, said the attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a fake advertisement circulating online, falsely claiming that the “Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC Application Form 2025”; is currently available, adding that the claim is entirely false and misleading.
According to the statement, the Nigerian Army has not commenced any recruitment or commissioning exercise for Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) or Short Service Commission (SSC) for the year.
It urged members of the general public to disregard the fake advertisement, as it did not originate from the Nigerian Army.
“Whenever such recruitment exercises are scheduled to begin, the public will be duly informed through official channels with adequate publicity.
“The Nigerian Army warns all to be cautious and avoid falling prey to fraudsters who exploit such fake information to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals,” it added.
According to the statement, anyone with information about such fraudulent activities or individuals should promptly report to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.
