A “DANGEROUSLY out-of-control dog” is on the loose after attacking police officer as the public is urged to watch out.
Cops rushed to Cardigan Road in Poole after reports of suspicious activity at 10.28pm on Friday.
A man reportedly left a vehicle with a dog and as officers approached he released the animal.
The viscous dog attacked the officer, biting his legs and arms as the man ran off.
The officer was treated for a number of puncture wounds and an area search was conducted.
Jake Blandon, who lives in the area, said he heard drones in and then saw a police helicopter.
He told the Bournemouth Echo: “We heard the drones and saw two of them flying around. Then a police helicopter came, so we went to have a look.
“There were about eight police cars, a few officers, a dog handler, and some unmarked vehicles.
“One of them looked like an armed response unit.”;
