The snap showed the bumper packs of refillable coloured eggs, stored inside a giant plastic egg.

And the price tag showed that they'd originally been £5, before being reduced to £3, £2 and then to the current clearance price of £1.

And it's not only chocolate you can put inside the eggs.

The beauty with them being left empty is that you can choose to put whatever you want in them – even making the hunt healthier in the process.

“To create a healthieregghuntbalance, parents should fill the eggs with small toys, clues, or even a single chocolate gold coin as opposed to a full chocolateeggat each station, finishing with a single chocolateeggto complete the fun of thehunt,” Rhysa Phommachanh, Health and Personal Care Specialist atLandys Chemist, said.

“This not only helps cut back on sugar, but also makes thehuntmore interactive, engaging, and rewarding for children.”

Another idea is to use your child's garden toys to incorporate into the hunt.

“Utilise your child’s outdoor toys, such asswing setsor atrampoline, as hiding places!” the experts at Outdoor Toyssaid.

“To add to the fun, why not include a challenge within theeggthat must be performed on the trampoline before they can move on to the next stop?

“Adding a fun twist to the usualEasteregghuntcan make it last longer and also incorporate some physical activity.”
