The Bauchi State Police Command has assured residents of adequate security before, during, and after the Easter celebration.

The command gave the assurance in a statement by its spokesman, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, on Friday, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu.

The Commissioner wished Christians and all residents a peaceful Easter, urging everyone to promote peace, unity, and progress.

He also called on religious leaders and worshippers to cooperate with security personnel for a smooth celebration.

According to the statement, to ensure safety, operatives from various units have been deployed across key areas, including worship centres, fun spots, and major roads.

The Commissioner urged them to be firm but respectful in carrying out their duties.

The statement added that patrol vehicles, foot patrol teams, and undercover officers are on ground to strengthen security.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station, via the Police Rescue Me app, or by calling 08151849417 or 09053872273 for help.
