EFCC arrests 25 suspected fraudsters in Benue

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi Zonal Directorate, has arrested 25 suspected internet fraudsters in Makurdi metropolis of Benue State.

The suspects were picked up from their hideouts at different locations within the Makurdi metropolis.

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday April 8 and Wednesday April 9, 2025, following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in cybercrimes.

They were alleged to be serial scam artistes who have defrauded several victims.

Items recovered from them include three cars, five laptops, 22 (twenty two) phones and three bikes.

Spokesperson of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale said the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
