EPL: Amorim confirms Rashford will return to Man Utd

Published on April 25, 2025 at 03:29 PM

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has suggested Marcus Rashford could yet have a future in the Premier League.

Rashford departed United for a loan spell at Aston Villa in January and is widely expected to leave his boyhood club on a permanent deal this summer.

Amorim froze the England international out of his squad back in December, as he seeks to overhaul his squad in the summer transfer window.

However, speaking to the media ahead of the Red Devils' Premier League game against Bournemouth on Sunday, he hinted that all possibilities remain on the table.

“All the players on loan will return and then the club will decide what to do at the end of the season,” Amorim said.

“When you put a player on loan the best thing is for them to perform. All these [loan] players have talent and they have to put that on the team.”

Rashford along with Jadon Sancho (Chelsea), Antony (Real Betis) and Tyrell Malacia (PSV Eindhoven) are all on loan away from Old Trafford.
