EPL: Arsenal fails to close gap on Liverpool with draw at Everton

Published on April 05, 2025 at 01:51 PM

Arsenal again dropped points in the Premier League title race, as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Everton in Saturday's early kick-off.

The Gunners recorded a 2-1 win against Fulham on their return from international break.

Mikel Arteta's men were looking to keep up pace with Liverpool as they travelled to Merseyside.

And they took the lead in the first half, after Leandro Trossard finished off Raheem Sterling's pass.

But the Toffees equalized early in the second half, after the referee punished Myles Lewis-Skelly for a foul on Jack Harrison.

Iliman Ndiaye stepped up and send David Raya the wrong way bringing Everton level.

Arsenal now have 62 points, 11 less than Liverpool who are at away to Fulham on Sunday, with seven fixtures left.
