EPL: Cunha’s move to Man Utd ‘in final stages’

Published on April 25, 2025 at 09:19 AM

Matheus Cunha's move from Wolves to Manchester United is believed to be in it's “final stages” according to Globo.

Cunha was heavily linked with an exit from the Molineux in January, but ended up signing a new contract with the club.

The Brazilian has been in demand since he enjoyed a breakout season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in the Premier League.

Despite Wolves' poor form this campaign, Cunha's form has helped the team all but retain their topflight spot.

United now look set to make Cunha their first signing of the summer for £62.5million.

Talks between the parties have now entered the final stages after making “significant” progress.

One of the key reasons behind United's interest lies in his familiarity with Ruben Amorim's preferred 3-4-2-1 formation.

Amorim has made no secret of his admiration for Cunha, praising his versatility and goals output.
