Manchester City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne, could be set for a shock move to Aston Villa this summer.
According to Sky Sports, the Midlands club is considering a move for De Bruyne, who will become a free agent at the end of this campaign.
Villa are believed to have held internal discussions about signing the 33-year-old already.
However, they will face competition from MLS sides like Inter Miami, Chicago Fire, D.C. United, and NYCFC.
De Bruyne has already announced he would be leaving City after almost 10 years at the club.
The Premier League champions decided against extending the Belgian's contract, and now it remains to be seen if he will head to Villa like Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford or another club entirely this summer.
De Bruyne, who has been advised to join rivals United by Roy Keane, has won a whopping 16 trophies at City, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
