EPL: Guardiola praises four Man City players after 0-0 draw with Man Utd

Published on April 06, 2025 at 06:48 PM

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has singled out four players for praise despite their 0-0 draw with Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The champions failed to move above Chelsea into the top four with a lacklustre performance at Old Trafford.

Omar Marmoush came closest to scoring for City but was denied by United goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Speaking to BBC MOTD after the game, Guardiola said: “They played really well; Rico [Lewis] was exceptional when he came on. I'm satisfied with [Ilkay] Gundo, [Mateo] Kova, and Bernie [Silva]—all of them. All of us, we're going to experience that position this season, and next season, we’ll see what happens.”
