Erling Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has said the Manchester City striker must be “protected”; from “exaggerated news”; over his future.
The Norwegian only moved to the Etihad in the summer from Borussia Dortmund in a £51m switch.
Haaland has already scored 23 times in 18 matches in all appearances.
Despite his fine start to life in England, there have been speculations about a release clause in his City contract.
It is claimed that a £172m clause will become active in 2024 and will drop to £150m the following year.
There are even suggestions there were special allowances written in for LaLiga giants Real Madrid.
Speaking in an interview with Marca, Pimenta said: “You have to do it [ask the question about the release clause] and it is very interesting.
“Haaland must be protected from this situation because he is a very young boy who still has to grow up. Everything is news around him, but it has to be because of his goals and his way of playing. I don’t want other things to come.”;
