EPL: Rashford rules out move to three Man Utd’s rivals

Published on April 23, 2025 at 07:10 PM

Marcus Rashford has accepted that he does not have a future at Manchester United, but has ruled out a potential move to London, the UK Mirror reports.

The 27-year-old is coming towards the end of his short loan stint with Aston Villa.

But the Midlands club have the option to sign Rashford permanently for £40 million.

United are looking to sell their academy graduate this summer to raise funds for their transfer business.

Since arriving at Villa Park, Rashford has rediscovered some of his best form.

The England forward has four goals and provided five assists in 17 appearances, with his performances earning him a recall to the national team squad.

Rashford is under contract with United until 2028 but is aware he may not be wanted back at United by Rúben Amorim.

He will wait to decide his future until the summer, and he will not move to London.

That rules out Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham, who have all been linked with some level of interest in the player.

Rashford also has no interest in being part of a swap deal, amid suggestions that the Red Devils could use him as a makeweight in a deal for Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
