Bright Osayi-Samuel has warned his Super Eagles teammates to brace up for a tough 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
The Super Eagles will be looking to win a fourth AFCON title when hostilities begin in Cote d’Ivoire next January.
The West Africans have been drawn in a relatively easy group with hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
But Osayi-Samuel, who plays for Turkish Super Lig giants, Fenerbahce, believes the the team will not enjoy an easy ride in the competition.
“I think every team is difficult,”; the right-back told Naija Football.
“We are playing in a tournament, so everybody will be looking to beat Nigeria because of the weight we bring and how big of a footballing nation we are and the team we have. So every game will be hard.”;
The Super Eagles will begin their 2023 AFCON campaign against Equatorial Guinea at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium on January 14.
The three-time African champions will face hosts Cote d’Ivoire four days later.
They will do battle with the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in their final group game on January 22.
