The super-fan, 30, said: “As a proud Tractor Boy born and bred in Ipswich, this is a dream come true for me.

“Fighting for a world title at Portman Road means everything to me. I’ve got a tough opponent in front of me, but that’s what I live for.

“I’m ready to dig deep, go to battle, and leave it all in the ring. Even more so than usual!

“It’s going to be a war, and I can’t wait to give my hometown crowd a spectacle they’ll never forget.”;

has 18 wins and just one draw, against Frazer Clarke, in round one of their rematch last October.

And he has now vacated his British and Commonwealth titles to purse the world heavyweight championship.

Victory over Miller would earn him the trinket WBA strap – and more importantly a shot at the full version currently held by Oleksandr Usyk.

But standing in his way is Miller – nicknamed Big Baby –

The New Yorker, 36, lost out on a 2019 fight with after failing three separate doping tests.

He put the shameful scandal down to a tainted supplement and stem-cell treatment for an injured elbow.

Miller signed with Bob Arum's Top Rank in 2020 – but again failed a test –

The former kickboxer eventually returned to action in 2022 and had two comeback fights before beating Lucas Browne in Dubai a year later.

Miller was beaten by Daniel Dubois in 2023 and returned with a draw against Andy Ruiz Jr last August – with many feeling he should have won.

The disgraced heavyweight was due to fight Derek Chisora in Februarybut a contractual dispute with promoter Dmitry Salita saw him replaced by Otto Wallin – who lost on points.

But Miller has since signed to fight Wardley – to the frustration of some fans.
