FACEBOOK is warning users to act now or lose precious video memories that will be automatically deleted very soon.
The is making a major change that will affect more than 3billion people who use the service.

Until now, you’ve been able to go back and rewatch precious memories filmed for Facebook Live again knowing it will be safely kept on your profile.
But the firm is closing down the free storage forever for Lives.
Emails have started going out warning people of when their cut off date is.
The Sun’s Assistant Technology and Science Editor, , received the warning email, which states May 28 as the last day to download any memories worth keeping â or they’ll be automatically deleted.
When Facebook announced the move in February, it said the deletion process “will take place in waves over the coming months”;.
So it’s worth checking your emails for a Facebook email warning before any videos are lost.
“We are sending you this email because you have previously broadcasted a Facebook Live video,”; the email warning reads.
“Changes are being rolled out by Facebook to its storage policy for Facebook live videos.
“As part of this transition, Facebook live videos older than 30 days will be deleted.
“We want to make sure that you have the opportunity to keep any live videos that you’ve published, so any live videos published before 19 February will be made available for you to download until 28 May.
“After that, any existing live videos published before 19 February will be deleted from your Page or profile.”;
Users have two options to avoid losing any live video memories.
You can covert the footage into a Reel video â though note thathave a 90 second time limit.
Alternatively, there’s a download option for Facebook Live videos to keep on your phone.
You can access the video download tool by following these steps:
- Go to your profile page
- Tap the three dot button next to “edit profile”;
- SelectActivity log
- Look for the blueLive videosoption
- Tap the three dot icon at the end of a video
