Family approves release of hostage Rom Braslavski video clip

Published on April 16, 2025 at 05:03 PM

The family of hostage Rom Braslavski has authorized the release of a shortened and blurred version of a propaganda video published earlier on Wednesday by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group.

In the video, Braslavski—who is being held in Gaza—appeals directly to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, pleading, “Can you get me out of here?”;

He also made an emotional appeal to US President Donald Trump, asking, “Where are you?”;

Braslavski appears visibly distressed, describing his physical and mental condition as deteriorating, while referencing the continued Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

The footage appears to have been filmed in recent weeks, based on contextual references and Braslavski’s appearance.

Israeli authorities have condemned the release of the video as psychological warfare.

The IDF continues its efforts to secure the release of Braslavski and other hostages believed to be held by terror groups in Gaza.
