The university stadium which got the nod of the NFF is to host four matches.

The NFF found the Prince Abubakar Audu University’s main football field, the only football pitch in Kogi State with FIFA-standard synthetic grass, as having the ability to attract different levels of football activities.

Recall that PAAU’s football stadium recently played host to the Nigerian Women Football League (NWDL) 2024/2025 season, among others.

This development has not only enhanced the university’s sports infrastructure but has also rekindled a strong passion for football among students and staff alike.

With its new synthetic grass facilities, the stadium is now set to welcome top-tier teams as they compete for a place in the next stage of the prestigious tournament.

The Vice Chancellor, PAAU, Prof. Marietu Tenuche noted that her administration has invested heavily in sports, pointing out that the school makes sporting activities outside the regular school curriculum a priority.

She added that improving on the school's sporting facilities offers students the opportunity to explore interests, develop skills, and engage in diverse experiences, pointing out that the university has produced great men and women who have made the country proud in sports.
