Nigeria's Flying Eagles defeated Egypt 2–1 in a pre-Africa U-20 Cup of Nations friendly at the Cairo International Stadium on Tuesday.

Reliable Kparobo Arierhi opened the scoring for Nigeria in the 10th minute.

The Young Pharaohs equalised in the 65th minute courtesy of Ahmed Kaabaka's fine strike.

Nigeria secured victory through a Precious Benjamin penalty seven minutes from time.

The Flying Eagles are expected to play one more friendly before the start of the U-20 AFCON.

Aliyu Zubairu's side are drawn in Group B alongside Tunisia, Morocco, and Kenya.

The Flying Eagles’ first match is against Tunisia on Thursday next week, followed by further games against Morocco and Kenya.
