Frenkie de Jong ‘tells Ten Hag he is happy to join Man Utd’ as Red Devils target £200m swoop for him and Jude Bellingham

MANCHESTER UNITED transfer target Frenkie De Jong has reportedly told manager Erik ten Hag that he is “happy”; to join.

The Dutch midfielder is a long-term target of the Red Devils as they plan to sign him and England star Jude Bellingham.

And in a boost for United, De Jong has told the manager privately that he was happy to join United, according to MEN.

Although the 25-year-old has publicly stated his preference to stay at the La Liga club.

He has been away from the club during the World Cup as he helped the Netherlands reach the quarter-finals.

Despite the hope of a tournament victory, they were dumped out by eventual winners Argentina on penalties.

United are planning to pair De Jong alongside Borussia Dortmund and England star Jude Bellingham.
