Friendly: Russia announces venue for Super Eagles clash

The international friendly between Russia and Nigeria will hold at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow on Friday, June 6, DAILY POST reports.

The Russia Football Union, RFU, announced the venue on its official website on Friday.

Valery Karpin's side last game at the Luzhniki Stadium was against Croatia -a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on September 1, 2021.

It is the first time Russia and Nigeria will be meeting at this level.

The Russians will also face Belarus in another friendly in Minsk on Tuesday, June 10.

The Super Eagles will take part in the Unity Cup invitational tournament in London in May before the clash with Russia.

Eric Chelle's men will take on eternal rivals Ghana's Black Stars in their first game on Wednesday, May 28.

Reggae Boys of Jamaica and Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago are the other teams that will participate in the competition.
