He only helped me halfway – Portable explains his beef with Olamide

Published on April 04, 2025 at 11:47 AM

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has explained the reason for his beef with ace rapper and music executive, Olamide.

Portable revealed that his issue with Olamide stemmed from his belief that the rapper could have assisted him more when he was up-and-coming than just giving him a verse in the remix of his 2021 hit song, ‘Zazu.'

In an interview on EchoRoom, the ‘Zazu' crooner said he appreciated British rapper, Skepta more because he did more than just musical collaboration for him.

He said, “I can’t drag Skepta because he hold my hand, Olamide didn’t hold my hand, he gave me a verse on ‘Zazu' and left me without a management. He can’t sign me now because I’m now a global superstar.”

Portable has previously accused Olamide of “snatching”; his producer, dancer, and promoter from him.

The rapper didn't address the allegations.
