The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, stated that it is time for the country to prosper as he heralded the implementation of global reciprocal tariffs.

Trump disclosed this on Wednesday as he announced reciprocal tariffs on all nations.

Describing the reciprocal tariffs, Trump said, “Jobs and factories will come roaring back,” and that the reciprocal tariffs will usher in a “golden age” for the US.

He confirmed that the 25 per cent tariff on automobile imports will commence at midnight on Wednesday.

According to Trump, “This is one of the most important days, in my opinion, in American history. It's our Declaration of Economic Independence. For years, hard-working American citisens were forced to sit on the sidelines as other nations got rich and powerful. But now, it's our time to prosper.

“None of our companies are allowed to go into other countries. That's why, effective at midnight, we will impose a 25 per cent tariff on all foreign-made automobiles,” he added.

The DAILY POST reports on Wednesday that China has restricted its local companies from investing in the US as a reciprocal move against Trump's administration.

Barely a week ago, on all imports into the US.
