John Terry suffers INJURY halfway through London Marathon and spotted limping as ex-Chelsea pal forced to wait for him

JOHN TERRY suffered an injury halfway through the London Marathon and was spotted limping.

The legend started strongly alongside his Blues pal Jody Morris.

But he suffered an injury and his pace quickly deteriorated after the halfway point.

Terry, 44, was spotted by TV cameras limping at one point, and it took him 55 minutes to go from the 35k point to 40k.

To make matters worse the former captain appeared to be bleeding from one of his nipples.

Fortunately, Morris decided to wait for his friend to try and spur him on for a little while, before leaving Terry to fend for himself.

Fans applauded Terry's effort and his commitment to reach the finish line despite his injury.

One reacted saying: “Jody Morris diligently waiting for who appeared to be limping and having quite the time of it 😭”

Another added: “Ouch!!! Think John Terry has got a bloody nipple... 👏👏 But respect.”

A third wrote: “Turn on the marathon to see Jodie Morris and John Terry out for a lil jog 😅 Legends 💙@ChelseaFC”

Terry, who was one of five former stars running the London Marathon, finished in 5:00:43.

Former star took to the course and was joined by Steve Sidwell and Danny Mills.

Juventus and Italy legendhas also been registered for the run.

While seven-time Olympic gold medallist also completed the marathon.
