The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has decorated three senior police officers recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

This was contained in a statement signed by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Police Public Relations Officer on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Police Officers' Mess, Bompai, Kano.

The officers, previously holding the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), were promoted following the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police and the approval of the Police Service Commission on March 20, 2024.

The promoted officers include:ACP Ahmad Munir Tudun Wada, ACP Bashir Kachalla and ACP Umar Mohammed Alkali.

While congratulating the newly promoted officers, CP Bakori emphasized that their new ranks come with greater responsibilities.

“This promotion is a recognition of your hard work, dedication, and service to the Nigeria Police Force and the nation at large. However, with this elevation comes increased expectations. You must redouble your efforts and continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity,” he stated.

The Kano Police Command expressed its gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission for the promotion.

“We appreciate the Police authorities for recognizing the dedication of these officers. We also urge the newly promoted ACPs to justify the trust placed in them through continued diligence and commitment to duty,” CP Bakori added.

The newly decorated officers pledged to serve with renewed dedication, ensuring the safety and security of Kano State and Nigeria.
