The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that the airlift of intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj will officially begin on May 13, 2025.

Chairman of the Board, Lamin Rabi'u Danbappa, made the disclosure during an inspection visit to Hajj training centers in Ungogo and Bichi local government areas. The visit formed part of the Board’s ongoing preparations for the forthcoming pilgrimage.

According to Danbappa, the first batch of Kano pilgrims will be airlifted to the Holy Land via Max Air, following the schedule released by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He noted that the Board had concluded all necessary arrangements ahead of time to ensure a smooth and orderly airlift process.

“In line with the timetable provided by NAHCON, Kano will begin its airlift operations on May 13. We have completed all necessary preparations to facilitate a successful and well-organized exercise,” Danbappa said.

Also speaking during the visit, another official of the Board, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, urged all intending pilgrims to take the Hajj training sessions seriously. He emphasized that consistent attendance would equip them with the knowledge required to perform the pilgrimage rites correctly.

Lawan further cautioned pilgrims to adhere to the guidelines strictly and regulations set by both Nigerian and Saudi Arabian authorities to ensure a hitch-free Hajj experience.
