Three members of a local community watch group were killed on Wednesday in an ambush by suspected armed bandits in Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The tragic incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. near Karo village, behind the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) permanent site, while the victims were on a routine patrol.
The slain watchmen; Bashir Abdussalam, 40; Halluru Bishir, 43; and Sani Bala, 49 â were all from Makera village in Dutsinma LGA.
They reportedly sustained gunshot wounds during the attack and were rushed to the General Hospital Dutsinma, where they were later confirmed dead.
