Kim Min Seok is making a fierce return in “Shark: The Storm”;!
Originally released in 2021, “Shark: The Beginning”; made waves as TVING’s first original film. Now returning as a six-episode series titled “Shark: The Storm,”; the sequel continues the journey of Cha Woo Sol (Kim Min Seok), who, after being released from prison, dedicates himself to becoming a professional mixed martial arts fighter. But just as he begins to reclaim his life, he finds himself entangled in a brutal fight for survival against a new and ruthless enemy Hyun Woo Yong (Lee Hyun Wook). No longer fighting just to survive, Woo Sol now rises to protect those he holds dear.
The newly released stills hint at Woo Sol’s evolution. While his face still retains traces of innocence, a hardened glint in his eyes suggests a deep inner change. Having pushed past his limits to survive a life of hardship, Woo Sol now charges forward toward a new dream in the MMA ring. Soaked in sweat, his clear, fearless gaze reveals a glimpse of renewed hope.
Another image captures Woo Sol staring down an opponent, his face bloodied and bruised. Once a timid boy, Woo Sol has grown into a resilient man. Despite bearing the stigma of a criminal record, he’s lived each day with sincerityâraising the question: what event reawakens his instinct to fight?
Kim Min Seok shared his thoughts on returning for a second installment, saying, “Being able to portray the same character across two seasons is a precious and meaningful experience as an actor.”; He added, “I’m excited to show even more intense action and a character who’s grown noticeably. Woo Sol, once a fragile boy, has become someone who now fights to protect not only himself but also the people he cares aboutâplease look forward to his journey.”;
