Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has reacted to Vinicius Jr.'s penalty miss in their 2-1 loss to Valencia on Saturday.

The Brazilian was booed by Real Madrid faithful in the first half of the game after he missed the penalty.

The Italian manager spoke about the boos and said the Brazilian was focused no matter the challenges he faces at Santiago Bernabéu.

“Vinicius is focused on what he’s doing. He may play well or poorly, but he’s focused on what he’s doing,” the former Chelsea and Everton boss told reporters after the game.

DAILY POST reported that the Italian also talked about the title race, saying it was not over yet.

The manager added, “It’s much more difficult to fight for the league title now, but we’re determined to do well until the end.

“We have a chance, less so after this match, but we have to fight until the end. It’s a complicated season in terms of penalties.

“Bellingham, Mbappé, and Vinicius have missed. I’ve tried to give him confidence, but he missed this one too.”

With the defeat to Valencia, Real Madrid fell 4 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race.
