Wavve has unveiled the first teaser poster for its upcoming original drama“ONE: High School Heroes”;!
Based on a popular webtoon, “ONE: High School Heroes”; is a high school action drama that follows Kim Ui Gyeom (Lee Jung Ha), a top student who has long suffered under the oppression of his father, and Kang Yoon Gi (Kim Do Wan), who seeks to use Ui Gyeom’s fighting prowess for his own purpose. Together, they form the masked vigilante group “High School Heroes”; and unleash their suppressed rage to overturn the school’s violent social order.
The newly revealed teaser poster captures Kim Ui Gyeom and Kang Yoon Gi from behind as they stand side by side wearing masks. Set against a dark, rundown building, the image hints at the gritty, underground world the heroes are about to dive into.
Lee Jung Ha takes on a bold transformation as transfer student Kim Ui Gyeom, a seemingly quiet and studious model student whose buried rage and natural fighting instincts are awakened. As he takes down school bullies one by one, Ui Gyeom begins to channel his inner turmoil into a ruthless form of justice.
Kim Do Wan stars as Kang Yoon Gi, the one who recognizes Ui Gyeom’s raw power and draws him into the world of underground fights with hidden motives. With sharp instincts and formidable skills of his own, Yoon Gi becomes an indispensable force behind the vigilante duo.
Veteran actor Kim Sang Ho appears as Kim Seok Tae, Ui Gyeom’s father—a successful medical equipment entrepreneur who seems like a devoted family man but actually enforces strict discipline in hopes of turning his son into a doctor. “Squid Game”; star Kim Joo Ryoung portrays Myung Da Bin, Ui Gyeom’s mother who begins to change in order to protect her son from her husband’s harsh methods.
Im Sung Kyun takes on the role of Kim Seung Joon, a dominant figure inside and outside the classroom, injecting further tension into the plot. Meanwhile, “Single’s Inferno 4”; breakout star Yuk Jun Seo joins as Lee Geol Jae, a mysterious transfer student who survived a notorious high school, adding an air of intrigue. Yoo Hee Je rounds out the cast as Choi Ki Soo, a cold, charismatic rival who poses a serious threat to the heroes.
“ONE: High School Heroes”; will premiere this May.
