LIAM Neeson is back in action â but not as you know him.
The hardman, famed for action roles in and The Grey, is dressed as a schoolgirl in the first trailer for reboot â and it’s as ridiculous as it sounds.

In the high-octane trailer Neeson’s Lt Frank Drebin Jr storms into a bank robbery in full school uniform – tartan skirt, knee-high socks, and a shirt – and somehow saves the day while heavily armed cops stand uselessly outside.
And Neeson, better known for beating up bad guys than cracking jokes, seems to be relishing the role.
One hilarious shot shows him posing with a leg up on a podium, flashing a pair of heart-patterned underwear and smirking at the camera.
Another sees him facing down a gunman while brandishing a giant lollipop, because why not?
The clip, released on the film’s official X page, teases the most important Naked Gun movie since the other Naked Gun movies and promises a mix of absurd comedy and explosive action.
The trailer even features a nod to the late ’s original Naked Gun films, with Neeson’s Drebin Jr. proudly announcing: “I’m from Police Squad... the new version.”;
Fans are already buzzing about what other madness awaits in the film, which also stars Paul Walter Hauser, , and WWE’s Cody Rhodes.
With director Akiva Schaffer (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) at the helm, and producing, this reboot looks set to bring back the classic parody silliness of the original.
The original film followed the success of 1980 movie Airplane! which cemented Leslie Nielsen’s position as a comic legend.
The same team returned to the big screen to make an adaptation of a short lived TV cops-and-robbers parody series called Police Squad!
Like Airplane!, Naked Gun became a hit in 1988 thanks to a blitz of puns, visual gags and pure silliness.
Fans are now raving about the new trailer – with one writing on X: “Why does this look AWESOME?!”
Another said: “Take my money!” as onre more said: “I'm sold.”
While another wrote: “Ive watched Naked Gun and Airplane more times than I can count. Airplane is my favourite movie of all time.
“I'm hesitant. But with Seth MacFarlane, I'm cautiously optimistic.”
