How to track London Marathon 2025 participants
Family members, friends, athletes and celebrities can be tracked using the official Marathon tracker app.
It is simple to use even for those who are not fans of technology, as you just have to hit the ‘tracking section' in the app before typing the name of the individual you want to keep tabs on.
The app will notify you each time a tracked runners hits a 5K split. It will also give you their predicted finish time, based on their current pace.
However, if the participant you want to track is carrying a phone, they may choose to share their live location which is tracked via GPS instead of the chip attached to the bib number.

What other features can I expect from the London Marathon 2025 app?
Supporters can expect all of the same features from 2024.
You'll be able to use the ‘Belief Booster' feature to write and send encouraging messages to participants.
Participants will be able to scan their bib number with the app to receive an inspirational pre-marathon message.
Last year, several messages were displayed on a screen near the halfway point and the same is expected this year.
The app can also be used as a tool to donate to charitable causes if not done so already.
And finally, you can use the app to check out the elite leaderboard and results of the race.
When is the London Marathon 2025?
The 2025 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 27.
Elite wheelchair men's and women's races will get underway at around 8:50am BST.
The Elite women's race starts shortly after at approximately 9:05am.
While the Elite men's race begins at 9:35am with the mass to start not too long after that.
