Man in 20s found dead on popular seaside walkway as cops launch probe into promenade death

A MAN in his 20s has been found dead on a popular seaside walkway as cops launch an urgent probe into his tragic death.

Cops were called to Bishopstone Glen, near Herne Bay, at 6:30am today amid concerns for a man on the promenade.

The force cordoned off the popular walkway, as emergency services attended the area.

A forensic investigation unit and member of the coastguard were also on hand but the man was sadly pronounced dead.

A police spokesman said: “Emergency services attended and a man in his 20s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”;
