M6 CLOSED with drivers facing nightmare delays and huge queues after lorry sheds its load

MOTORISTS face delays after a lorry shed its load on the M6 this morning.

Emergency services have been seen attending the southbound carriageway near the entry sliproad to junction 25.

Congestion has been piling up near Bryn with queues sighted between J26 for the M58 Orrell Interchange and junction 25.

The incident was first reported around 7.45 this morning.

Two lanes were closed on the southbound carriageway as traffic cameras show queues on the A49 headed south from Wigan.

A spokesperson for Inrix said: “M6 Southbound entry slip road closed slow traffic, two lanes closed due to shed load at J25 (Bryn).

“The entry slip road and two lanes closed on the main carriageway.”
